Restoring a Nation

From Nehemiah 9 come some history lessons that are valuable to us as Christians and citizens of America:

• God's power, leadership, laws, provisions, forgiveness and lovingkindness must be realized and lived by. If a nation is to be restored, these must be adhered to. 
• A nation that cannot recognize, acknowledge and repent from its past and present sins, cannot be restored. 
• The sins of a nation that needs to be restored must be confessed.
• The nation wanting to be restored must realize that punishment from God is just and fair.

Our nation must restore the image of God, must acknowledge and repent of our sins, stop ignoring God, and understand that God never changes and will always be just.
