From beginning to end, 1Peter is preparatory in its nature and content.  Through the epistle, Peter provides admonitions and instructions regarding how Christians ought to think, feel, and act when facing tests, trials, and tribulations (or persectutions).  This particular lesson focuses on 1Pet.4:7-19 in an effort to help prepare us for our own distressing trials and fiery tests that we may be able to entrust our souls to our faithful Creator in "doing what is right" according to God's will.
