Being Religious And Spiritual

There are those in the world who describe themselves as "Spiritual, but not Religious". And there are people who are "Religous, but not Spiritual" (and may not realize it). There is a reason John, The Baptist and Jesus came from the outside of the religious movements of their day. These movements were so concerned with the Law that they had forgotten to forgive and love, wrapped up in acedemic pursuit of the Law that they had forgotten the benefits of being spiritual, so politically active that they had forgotten why God had set up religion to begin with. These are all certainly pitfalls that we can fall into today.
