"Following our heart" is a concept in today's society that is popular, but if applied can get us into a lot of trouble. Is it more productive, as a Christian, to react to emotion when faced with confrontational situations? Or would it be more productive, spiritually, to be "quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger" (James 1:19-20)? Examine what Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:38-42.
