"Just a Closer Walk With Thee" starts off "I am weak, but thou art strong..." Weaknesses can teach us many things. Sometimes our own weaknesses are caused by our own sin. Sometimes it makes us weak, impulsive, and prevents our learning. But God has historically put, or allowed His people to be put, in positions of weakness so that they can learn from their trials and be strengthened from them - to allow themselves to see how strong the actually can be.
