Changing The Leopard's Spots

Many have said that "you can't change a leopard's spots", usually in the context of one's ability of willingness to change one's life. "This is how I am. This is the way you'll have to accept me." Jeremiah even writes in 13:23 this same idea. Or does he? An examination of the context suggests that God was requiring them to change since they were so steeped in sin. Most of us wish we could change for the better. And most of us doubt that we could actually change. But we can, with time, with dedication, and with respect to our spiritual lives, with the right information and motivation. How? By being made new. By growing and maturing. And by realizing that our refusal to change doesn't just affect us.
