Solomon, with wisdom given to him directly from God, experienced life to the fullest and wrote his conclusions for his quest for the meaning of life in the Book of Ecclesiastes. The task of finding this meaning was a grievous one. Chapter 2, verses 1-10 shows us all of the avenues that he used to find this meaning. Yet all of them resulted in a futile and vain pursuit. Many of us today try to repeat our own experiments in pursuing happiness in life. But what is it that is going to please God in our lives?
